Today is the Day to Achieve Your Goals

Can you believe that we are in the last week of January of the new year, 2026? Time is moving very quickly! Even with the fast pace of time, there is still time to set new goals for this new year and decide how you want your life to look this year. I know that most people set resolutions on the first day of January but, we all know that sometimes a week or even a few weeks later the resolutions are broken. It is for this reason that I prefer to set goals. Goals reflect a desired outcome of something that we want to achieve. Setting goals helps us to identify measurable steps and actions that we will take towards the outcome we want to see manifested in our lives. The other reason I prefer setting goals to making a resolution, is that you can set goals at any time. You can rework a goal that needs to be updated and you can set a new goal when you have achieved the first goal. Given that you can set goals at any time, today is a perfect time to set a goal or two for the next six months or year. I recommend setting aside some time today or this week for quiet self-reflection and think about how you want your life to look this year. With that clear picture in mind, write out the top three things that you want to see happen in your life this year. With those three things in mind, set one or two goals to help you achieve the things you identified. As you set your goals make sure they are really things that you want to see manifest in your life and are improtant to you, make them realistic so that you can have success in achieving them, and place a time frame on when you want to achieve them by to help motivate you to take steps towards achieving the goals. Write your goals in your journal or place them where you can review them regularly. This process will help you to stay motivated and put action or activities in place to help you achieve your goals. And remember, any time is the right time to set goals and intentionally create the life you truly want to live and deserve.
