Wednesday Words of Affirmation

I believe words and language are important. The words we use can uplift us or they can bring us down. Words can build up our self-esteem or words can destroy the development of a positive self-image. I will share words that will affirm and lift us up. You can repeat these affirmations and make them your own to help reframe your thinking and develop a more positive mindset and response in the face of life's challenges.
I believe the words that follow "I Am" can shape how we think, how we view ourselves, and the way we respond in difficulties. Several times each month, I will share an affirmation to help us transform our thinking to develop a more positive mindset.

Affirmation: I Am Joy
As we are fully into the holiday season, I thought focusing on joy would help us to recenter and focus on what is really important to us. Joy is more than feeling happy and in a good mood. Joy is maintaining a positive affect, even when things are not going the way we want. Joy puts a smile on our face, even when life may try to tell us there is nothing to smile about. Over the next few weeks, I challenge each of us to walk in joy and express joy, regardless of how our circumstances look.
