30 Days of Gratitude - Day 1
A few years ago, I wrote a book called, The Year of Gratitude, featured in the above image. This book was intended to help us all focus a bit more on things we have in our lives to be grateful for and help us to develop more of an attitude of appreciation and thankfulness.
As today, marks the first day of November, the month where we celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday, I thought it would be a good idea to revisit that attitude of gratitude and thankfulness. Webster's Dictionary defines gratitude as the state of being grateful or thankful; a feeling of appreciation. Take an inventory of your state of gratitude and if you are expressing more complaints than thankfulness and join me on a 30-day gratitude journey this November.
Today, November 1st, our gratitude challenge will be to start a gratitude journal. Grab paper and pen, and start today with listing at least one thing you are grateful for today and add one item to the list each day over the next 30 days. Check in with yourself at the end of the month and note any improvements you have seen in your overall satisfaction and appreciation for life.
With a Grateful Heart,
Dr. Daphne
